This past weekend, during my last wedding of the 2013 season, I experienced another “first”.        It’s not something that happens too often nowadays, because over the years I’ve shot hundreds of outstanding weddings and seen an equal amount of tremendous ideas bought to life. In fact, I’ve seen everything from a seven foot wedding cake, to the couple arriving at their reception in a helicopter, and tons of other incredible things in between. However, until late Saturday evening during Stella and Matt’s wedding reception, I never imagined that I’d be witness to a full fireworks display in the middle of a snowstorm! Yes, not only did it happen, even more amazingly, scores of guests at the wedding withstood the 14 degree temperature and snow, which was falling at a rate of 2 inches per hour. So, I guess the lesson in this story is, often it’s worth it to hold firm to your original vision. Because even when major obstacles cross your path, things might ultimately turn out even better than expected. HEY STELLA… thanks for the lesson!
